Salad Of Life: Kale, Spinach, Butter Leaf Lettuce, Blueberries, Strawberries, Tofu, Beets, Pink Lady Apple,  Almonds, Hemp Seed.

Spinach- offers twice as much fiber as other greens, good source of iron, and is loaded with vitamins and minerals, some of which are hard to find in other foods; such as: beta-carotene, lutein, lipoic acid, vitamin C, and calcium.

Kale- Not only is it one of your best sources of beta-carotene, one of the antioxidants best players in the battle against cancer, heart disease, and certain age-related chronic diseases, it also provides other important nutrients such as lutein, zeaxathin. calcium, vitamin C, folic acid, vitamin B6, manganese, and potassium.

Blueberries- rich in Vitamin C, contain high fiber content and antioxidants, improves immune system ,  and reduces risk of disease.

Almonds- contains calcium and magnesium – for strong bones, vitamin E and  protects against cardiovascular disease and cancer.

Hemp Seed- jam packed with essential minerals such as phosphorus and magnesium, abundance of vitamin E, which protects our body tissues from damage. They improve immune function, raise energy and relieve dry hair and skin…. AND can reduce symptoms of PMS.

Tofu- High in protein and minerals

Apples- contain no fat, cholesterol or sodium. One medium size apple contains about 80 calories and provides fiber, vitamins and antioxidants.

Beets- have18 vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C– to promote immunity and tissue repair, folate, which promotes red blood cell function and potassium, which leads to healthy energy levels, muscle function and blood pressure. Beets are also a source of magnesium for strong bones.

Strawberries- contain lots of vitamin C, vitamin A and lutein, which is important for your eye health, also contain vitamin K, folate and vitamin B-6.

Pre Season Training

I like to focus on the 3 “S”s. Strength, Stretching, and Spinach. While utilizing the 3 “P”s. Power, Patience, and Protein.

1. STRENGTH and POWER

Running up Cougar Mountain.

2. STRETCHING and PATIENCE

Yoga

3. SPINACH and PROTEIN

Blueberry, Apple, Avocado, Sugar Snap Peas, Almond, Cucumber, Spinach Salad.

Tuna, Avocado, Onion, Almond, Spinach Salad.

Sweet Potato, Grilled Asparagus, Red/Yellow Peppers and Onions, Almonds, Feta, Spinach Salad.

Strawberry, Grape, Apple, Red Pepper Spinach Salad.
